Around the athlete · The third pillar
Measurement isn't the product.
Better decisions are.
West Coast Analytics is the Collective's testing and analysis arm. We measure what your body can produce, how your skill delivers it, and what it does in games — then turn all of it into a plan you can actually follow. Transparent tech. Transparent pricing. Open to any player, at any level.
01 · The flow
Tech gets you to first.
Decisions score.
Every good decision about a player runs the same bases, in the same order. Technology captures the data. Data becomes information. Information drives the decision — what to train, what to change, what to leave alone. The run only counts when you touch them all.
Most organizations run it backwards: they buy the technology, admire it, and stop at first base. West Coast Analytics was built to finish the trip home — every single time a player is tested.
02 · Who it's for
Built for the Cardinals. Open to everyone.
The Abbotsford Cardinals are the Collective's flagship club — but West Coast Analytics is not a members-only door. Any player, from any team, at any level, can book an assessment. You don't need to wear the badge to use the lab.
Come once for a baseline. Come back to measure what changed. Your results — and every file behind them — are yours to keep, share with your own coaches, or bring to your next level.
03 · The lab
The stack, exactly as it stands.
Transparency cuts both ways, so every instrument below is labelled honestly: what's running today, and what arrives next — with dates. No vapourware, no fine print.
The engine
What your body can produceIs he adding the right kind of mass — and is one side of the body doing more work than the other?
Bone density, lean mass, fat mass, and left–right asymmetry — the gold-standard body scan, not a bathroom scale.
Is the arm — rotator cuff included — strong enough for the workload ahead, and which link in the chain is weakest?
A portable dynamometer for full-body strength assessment, joint by joint, including the small muscles that keep throwers healthy.
Should this training block chase force, or chase speed?
Cable resistance paired with velocity tracking builds a force-velocity profile — so training targets the end of the curve that's actually lagging.
Is he actually getting faster — off the line, or at top speed?
Timed sprint splits to the hundredth of a second. The stopwatch lies; the gates don't.
The delivery
How your skill expresses itWhich mechanical change buys the most velocity or exit speed — for the least stress on the body?
Full biomechanical capture of the delivery and the swing, sequenced joint by joint.
Is it the swing — or the swing decision? Does he pick the ball up early enough to choose well?
Gaze and head-movement tracking through the pitch window: where the eyes go, when they get there, and what that costs at the plate.
Where does velocity leak — back-leg drive, or front-leg block?
Force plates embedded in the mound itself measure ground force through the entire delivery, not a lab approximation of it.
Is power leaking into the ground before the hands ever move?
Embedded force plates under both feet capture how a hitter loads, strides, and turns force into rotation.
The game
What it does when it countsDoes the lab work actually show up in games?
Game stats are on file for all Jr & Sr PBL athletes — and any family can export their own GameChanger CSV and send it in for analysis, whatever team they play for.
What does his swing do at 7pm on a Friday — not just in the cage?
In-game mechanics, bat path, and ball tracking, installed at the park. The lab comes to the ballgame.
DXA, TruStrength, ANCORE × GymAware, laser gates, motion capture, eye-head tracking, GameChanger analysis.
A second scan location comes online.
Force plates embedded in the mound and the batter's box.
WIN Reality in-game tracking, installed at the park.
04 · The assessments
One public price. No quotes, no phone calls.
Four assessments, priced in the open. Every one of them ends the same way: a written report in plain language, and a sit-down debrief that tells you what to do next. Retests are discounted on purpose — measuring change over time is the whole point.

05 · What you leave with
Not a data dump.
A plan.
Plenty of places will hand you a folder of numbers and wish you luck. That's stopping at second base. Every West Coast Analytics assessment ends with the information layer — the part that actually changes what a player does on Monday.
-
I.
The written report
Every result explained in plain language — what we measured, what it means, and how it compares. Built for players and parents, not for people who already own a biomechanics degree.
-
II.
The debrief
A scheduled 30–45 minute sit-down with your assessment lead. Questions welcome. Jargon translated. Nothing left to guess at.
-
III.
The three things
Every debrief closes the same way: the three things worth working on next, in order. That's the decision the whole lab exists to reach.
Get measured. Get a plan.
Get better on purpose.
Book a Baseline and see exactly where you stand — then come back and watch the numbers move.
